For years now I have been particularly concerned about the fast deterioration of moral fortitude which is one of the numerous reasons why I answered my Calling to preach; and later rebuked it. 

The decay is ever-present within today’s generation of tech savvy Smartphone carrying men and women who lack the ability to speak properly, dress with a level of respect that honors their families, behave with dignity, count the correct change without a cash register, and tell time with an analog clock, not digital. 

Generation after generation there has been a desired probability of Life getting better. After the Civil Rights Movement there was a huge expectation for a dawn of a new and better day, not only for African Americans but for all the people who found themselves under the heel of Western discrimination and domination. Better in the sense of humans choosing to make decisions that do not negate humanity’s purpose. 

The Change has not come. Day after day…newscast after newscast we are relentlessly and indiscriminately polluted by the efforts of an irresponsible news media with atrocities that defines and legitimizes our unwillingness to live by traditions that exalt morality. 

Just this past week an African maniac with a British accent boldly claimed Allah instructed him to take a life. 

What makes a man use a vehicle as a weapon to run over another man? What makes God’s supreme creation stab, cut, and decapitate another human being? The excuse the devilishly misguided man prefaced in his Jihadist Old Testament scripture laced rant is terrorism e.g. Matthew 5:38-48. 

I agree the actions of these two demented men caused and promote terror. But, why is terrorism the reason proclaimed for the evil-intent that wrongfully subsists in the hearts of God’s Creations? Why…?

Some will give credence to mental illness…others will remind us that Man has always been violent and prone to malevolent behavior. If this is the case, why are we living? What is the purpose of getting up each day knowing that Man is a voided soul that uses popular justifications for his shortage of morals? 

Ultimately, the sad reality is that someone will flippantly categorize decayed human acts and behavior as,

 ‘This is just the way it is, Muata.’

Really…? Is this what I have to look forward to as I get older? If so, I am prepared to die today – I and wholeheartedly primed to take my life…eliminate myself from this lawless arroyo. Even in our desperation to defeat…Purge our demons, humans once again will in-motion picture promote Man’s self-induced demise:

And, what about my children? How do I explain to them that God created Man and Woman, but allows Man and Woman to emotionally and physically choke the Life out of each other? 

Should I tell them that Man has made his bed…deathbed? How should I expound on the insightful inquisitives of a child? When should I inform my children that it appears Living will be riddled with disappointment and horrible tragedy? How will I impart bravery (like displayed in the photograph below) in the Face of Death?

What should my response be to my child who will eventually look up at me and ask, 

 

‘Daddy, why are humans so cruel to each other?’ 

My response will be short: 

‘Man…Male has destroyed human creation. God has nothing to do with the misfortune that occurs in this world. Man is the reason for the ongoing self-destruction. You live a life that’s divinely expected, and then hope and pray the ‘reasons’ for wicked irrational behavior is not blamed on a tough childhood. And finally, please believe in the Power of Decision. Despite what others my say and believe, Decision is what you have before any negative action.’

I am of the belief that a large number of white people care. Many of them have served with me in the Peace Corps, worked by my side with the AmeriCorps, and other reputable humanitarian organizations. Sadly, our (black people) very own are not on the front lines in ACCEPTABLE numbers serving and helping domestically; and definitely in LIMITED numbers internationally.

I don't believe that these white liberals "ignore" the deaths of black people/children all together. The media does. The media reports what is going to gain viewership…make them MONEY! Unfortunately, a death of a black teenage male killed by ANOTHER black teenage male is NOT newsworthy...in the sense the trendy flat screen televisions in America - and tube television sets around the world will be tuned-in. That's not news…SMH, that's an EVERYDAY occurrence in the hoods black Americans have formalized as HOODS. Besides, the killing is a black-on-black killing...so what! Blacks are notorious for killing each other…

A good alternative to combat or reverse what the media continues to do to " ignore us"...is to control ‘our’ news. Blacks in America do not have ONE televised media production outlet that is DEDICATED to black news! Not one...so why scream and complain when blacks are IGNORING themselves? Blacks are a Forgotten People and they are forgotten by a Psychological Defeated Black People...

I am of the belief that WE (black America) need to stop wanting and needing the concern from White America about our self-induced ills and defeat-able plights (a many black people have overcome TREMENDOUS odds and have avoided hypertension, mental illness, and other stressors that have roots in White domination). 

African Americans are the ONLY group on the face of this earth that refuse to organize and nationalize for the betterment of their community. Why is that? Because we spend too much damn time Wanting and Needing White America to care about us. Stop whining, and man/woman up to the Expectation of the Black Ancestors! 

Frankly, it is absurd to desire the compassion of white people considering a black boy was probably killed yesterday by another black boy over a minor disagreement.

Our 'needs' are so damn disgusting...

Now, should blacks care when a white community is terrorized by crazed gunman or bomber? I can't speak for others and I cannot say what we need to do in the collective - but one thing is for sure I am emotionally affected when LIFE is taking senselessly. I am beyond my former grudge...hatred of white people. So far from that because I learned very early on in my adult life at High Point University to hate and be void of a worldwide compassion/empathy is to be Defeated...Dead.

Women are Becoming Bitch

I should not be surprised by much any longer. This world has been headed to hell for years. Long before I was born! But, there is one 'thing' I thought would never travel down the dark drain with no hope of rectification. 

It is apparent that the use of the word, Bitch, has evolved. Usually, when there is an evolution people connect it to 'For the Good'. Like cell phone and computer technology; without a doubt the cutting-edge technology of both have created a convenient method to not only communicate - but the cell phone and computer has become extremely versatile with enhancing life productivity.

Conversely, enhancement has not been the mode of improvement for face-to-face communication particularly with grammar usage. In-person communicating has become what I call text chatter. Actually, this mode of chatter irritates me...is significantly repulsive! While I am not a Master of the English language, I do believe it should be used in a way that's conducive to understanding and indicates -not immaculate intelligence- but some smarts! As I permanently digress on that point hopefully I have been respectful with my communication. I should have been thought to have been Respectful considering that I have only used one word that's obviously meant to be offensive: Bitch. 

Well let me pump my breaks. Bitch has taken the lovingly acceptable place of Nigga used by females, but delivered in a verbal assault unlike Nigga: 

“I can’t stand that two-bit BITCH.” –Sentimentality from the Evolved Female

“What’s up, my Nigga? Long time no see.” –Endearing Mawkishness from the Caveman

As I prepared to watch Hell's Kitchen last night (Tuesday, 8PM EST on your local Fox station) I mentally positioned myself to see and hear women refer to each other as Bitch like one uses Sweetie or Honey. Sweetie and Honey are polite terms to use, however. 

What ever happened to women respecting each other or serving as the FIRST example of Decent Femininity to their FEMALE child or niece? 

Bitch was once the most disturbing utterance that could be lodged as a descriptive to a woman.  On the flip side, if a man is tagged as a Bitch -still to this day- he more than likely will respond as if he was called a Spineless Coward. Interesting, that the sting of the word is more venomous for men - and not for women? Ironic, horribly sad – and another example of Women Becoming Men! 

There is nothing endearing about Bitch or Nigga. Only African Americans have been 'so creative' to desensitize word labels that are self-concept and self-esteem defacing and demoralizing! I don't find that to be creative...by the way...it is not ingenious like blacks of the past were. 

I find this new female-brutish behavior to be another example of the Self-Defeating Concept which is knowingly prevalent within the African American community. And, let me be clear, black women with citizenship within the United States are NOT the only females using the Bitch term so freely. Had to acknowledge that before some new Black Power Women’s Lib Type get on a rhetorical soapbox.

 

Apropos, what is liberating in Bitch? 

Removing skin color, using the word Bitch which is defined as a female dog... (yes, my dog Jessie is a Bitch)...to highlight insult or intensify an emotional sisterhood bond between feminine comrades is not only rash, it is a tell-tell sign that our world is not up for Restoration...

It Shall be Done…when Woman knowing disrespects Woman like it is Common Place. 

Without a doubt, Women are becoming Men…

The NAACP is always begging for an apology from men/women who are systematically bred to believe that they are better than people of color. While this cover photo was created by a Latino does not dismiss the fact that the Latino has been exposed to Western/European efforts to demonize black and brown people. So, he -himself- has possibly been affected directly and/or indirectly by the Great Imperialization of the Mind. He may believe that he is better than his fellow brothers and sisters of Latino decent. This is what an imperialized mind produces. My ultimate concern is the We Shall Overcome, Woe is Me, Massa reactions from civil rights groups such as the NAACP...to seek an apology in many ways reveals that you are open game for insult. I am not at least bit offended by the cover photo. The photo would be more accurate if the artist would have included images of white people. They were also willingly irresponsible victims of the Home Ownership Boom too...

I read somewhere today someone make a reference…a comparison that initially startled me. If you know anything about Nat Turner, you know that he was a rebel. I brutally deviant rebel! He decided to secure some justice for his people. It was the same zeal that was used during slavery to maintain order among the slaves. Castration, removing a fetus from a womb by cutting the female’s belly open, hangings, raping, beating, drowning, overworking, the denial of proper medical attention…all of this were evils committed by white men while their wives remained silent. The viciousness of slavery is unimaginable. I for one would not have made it through the cultural destruction, and I definitely would have not been able to endure the God permitted punishment of slavery. Nat Turner decided one day that he was going to behave like his captives…evil as a Devil. He went on a killing spree committing the same atrocities as his masters. He was known to butcher white women and children. He actually tortured many of the white men that were responsible for slaughtering his people which ultimately permanently destroyed the mental psyche of black men and women of today. So, when I stumbled across a Photoshop portrait of Nat Turner and Chris Dorner, the maniac that’s on the run in California, I suddenly became enraged that there are some people rooting for Dorner. These people want him to continue his mayhem that has seeds of perceived righteous indignation. Dorner’s so called manifesto has been interjected into the atmosphere as a justification for his actions. That’s sad. The non-rambling parts of Dorner’s manifesto that has understandable complaints of racism and systematic mistreatment is not reason for murder and payback. Dorner is no Nat Turner. Turner lived during a time that justified his actions. There was no way out…no way to get the attention of the white man manning the Slave System. Today, here in the 21st century, there are non-violent vehicles to voice concerns and address the evils of the System. There is a process that has worked for countless black and brown people…brown people were the couple that Dorner killed, by the way! During slavery there was not a means to object…there was simply not a choice other than suicide, continuation of your slave confinement, or behaving as Nat did.

I condemn the photograph I saw, and I condemn Chris Dorner. He is wrong, and does not deserve Face book recognition and Tweets littered with support:

A Day...Another Day of Reality

 

*In this case 'observation' should replaced with Reality*

 

I applied for two jobs today that mirror my experience and training. This was after searching and adhering to other job seeking responsibilities for five hours -and after spending two hours working in a capacity that will help me pay my rent.

A couple of weeks ago a random person and I were talking. He asked, "Do you really look for a job/job hunt every single day?" I stared at him...speechless until my mind caught up with his question. "Of course I do. Everyday I spend 3-5 hours looking and applying for jobs. Why?" He answered, "Because most people give up. They either retire themselves to the reality that they may never get a job within their field or they completely do something else that's plentiful. Like laborer type jobs."

That conversation has stayed with me.

First, I wonder why I have not given up. I have every reason to quit! I am quite tired and frustrated...so why not quit? It will be two years come February 24, 2013. Two years. But, I rise each and every morning hoping the reality of yesterday will not be my reality for today. And, on most days by 2PM I am reminded that my reality is what it is...Reality.

I have tried to extend faith in believing that I will get a job that matches my former professional life. But, faith believing that a change in my employment status only disappoints me. So, I select to be in reality understanding that reality is all I have to hold onto. No elusive faith.

Besides, asking God to help me find a job is selfish, self-serving, and self-centered. What reason would God help me...I am one of millions without employment?

Knowing The Reality only makes me feel guilty when I think about dropping to my knees in prayer request for a Job. So, I pray -not extend faith- that I will make it financially and emotionally one more day at the conclusion of A Day of Reality.

Weapon and Mind Control...not Gun Control

Man walks into an alley. He notices another man with a blood-soaked hammer standing over a man on the ground. The man walking in the alley ask, What happened? The man with the hammer says, I beat him to death...I killed him.

Man walks into an alley. He notices another man with a rope standing over a man on the ground. The man walking in the alley ask, What happened? The man with the rope says, I strangled him..I killed him.

Man walks into an alley. He notices another man with blood stains on his shirt waving a huge knife while standing over a man on the ground. The man walking in the alley ask, What happened? The man with the knife says, I stabbed him. He is dead...I killed him.

Man walks into an alley. He notices another man with a gun standing over a man on the ground. The man walking in the alley ask, What happened? The man with the gun says, I shot him..I killed him.

The man who walked in the alley immediately says, we need gun control.

I definitely believe that there is NO logically reason to own semi-automatic assault rifles. Just does not make sense to me. I believe that stock-piling guns is ridiculous. For what...? Collecting...bullshit! I also believe that Americans need to address the hammer, the rope, the knife - and most importantly the REASONS men and women are so angry, so desperate, so on the edge, so emotionally unstable.

Screaming for new gun control will not solve the Problem. No matter what happens with Joe Biden's new role, people will continue to kill each other because some human beings are out of control hammer-heads, have spines like wet ropes, and are not sharp -like most knives- enough to respond without rage.

Guns are not the problem.
