Policy that's Not Policy

While I have NEVER supported the United States’ foreign policies, I will acknowledge as you republicans should – but you will not (HYPOCRISY), that President Obama has moved in the direction that the Republicans desired. President Obama recently signed off on sending US military personnel to Israel…his effort to appease the Jews that support him – and turning his back on the Palestinian people that he has aligned himself with for decades. Politician Move…Great timing for the Foreign Policy Debate tonight! President Obama gave the order for Osama to be taken out, along with anyone in the compound. Then you talking head Republicans blasted him for celebrating that maniacs killing knowing in your heart that you wanted Osama dead, and knowing that you would have celebrated in the End Zone too if Bush would have got him. President Obama heard and evidently felt the cries of rebellion in Egypt…he found some money that the government claimed that they did not have and provided military weapons to support the men that lead the revolt…that wanted Muhammad Hosni El Sayed Mubarak out of office. That was an asinine move considering the men he provided assistance to are now burning United States’ flags. President Obama did the same in Libya…he got rid of Muammar. He DID condemn the Libyan embassy attack too! He just did it in a way that is acceptable when a Republican does it: POLITICAL. Governor Romney has NO foreign affairs/policy experience. None! SO, tonight’s final pandering moment (debate) should be an ass kicking?? By the way, not one president has had the balls to deal with China…why would they deal with them considering without China the United States would be a void…eventually. We need them folk! A Romney/Ryan administration ain’t gonna do shit! Iran…SMH. No president since I been living has been tough…REAL tough with Iran. May be its a little guilt? The US government did help in taking down a former leader of Iran, and later installed puppet leader that sadly did the opposite of what the US wanted i.e. let his people starve. Dumb…

Day Seized with Lies

On the Ongoing Chatter about Romney Lying During the Debate:

When a politician lies it should not be a surprise. Lying is an art that can be used to benefit. The truth is NOT always the best policy. That's some crap we learned in preschool! When lies are delivered with AUTHORITY they have power. It does not matter if the generated power is created from the depths of untruths. Think about it, the Christian Church has been purporting lies for centuries...WITH AUTHORITY. The result: Millions of people believing the unbelievable. SO, Romney was effective. And like most - President Obama did not refute the lies...he did what Christians have been doing for years: Allowing lies to seize the day.

My Viewership Opinion…ESPN 30 for 30, Broke

First, I was not impressed by the production. It was like watching a ninety minute music video with a bunch of men setting in/on a cheap-looking porn set. Of course being interviewed, not participating in sex acts. LOL! Well, perhaps not being interviewed because there was not an interviewer. The professional –former- athletes were just talking without any form of reciprocal conversation.

I should have used the remote...

Second, the ENTIRE 90 minutes was an opportunity for reckless athletes who are broke or going broke to BLAME...POINT THE FINGER at someone for their unscrupulous decisions.

Not one soul legitimately acknowledged their atrocious decision making. No one humbled himself by owning up to their lack of personal responsibility! The blame was directed toward a host of characters who THEY ALLOWED to enter THEIR lives for the long term and/or temporarily.

The usual list of unscrupulous characters was in play:

Questionable sport agents, unqualified financial advisers, money hungry family members...the list goes on and on - but not one 'I' on the list. Again, not ONE man said, 'I am blameworthy for my present predicament...’

Thankfully, I was finally moved by two points:

(1) Bernie Kosar describes his childhood and adulthood relationship with this father. He talks about how he was essentially terrified to fail - or not do something for his father -like go get his father a beer from the refrigerator. Bernie went on to explain the persistent horror that plagued him. Basically, Bernie ended-up giving all of his money to his father because it was his father's expectation...as it was for Bernie to ALWAYS go get the beer from the frig.

That story was emotional for me. Not sure why...when I figure out why I will share.

(2) I found it completely chauvinistic for the featured men to speak about women the way that they did. As if the females had a magical power over them. A power that forced them to give up their money. As if the women that they paid to sex or date were villains. As if women are by nature looking to get pregnant by a millionaire.

My recurring thought while viewing this mannish segment, ‘Women typically become what men have forced them to become.’

Jamal Mashburn's statement concluded my viewership,

"Men get flashy to attract women...they give up their loot to get something from females that are after loot. So, why accuse the females of being 'money hungry ho's'...the players entered the relationship transaction knowing the intentions of the women…which by the way are not all women.”
-Jamal Mashburn

If you have not seen the episode please watch without misplaced compassion…these men were employees who failed to manage their money because of their vanity and stupidity.
