My assertion and plea for PEOPLE to wake-up out of their deep sleep indicates that I believe we are unaware, uninformed, and/or purposely neglecting the truth. A truth that could actually save our lives – but we are too ego-driven and foolishly stubborn to recognize the damage that we have done to our greatest gift, Earth. Therefore, we will continue to destroy everything that once made us superior. Our ability to reason keeps us one step ahead of all other mammals. However, reason and logic are the last two human capabilities that we implore when it concerns our home, Earth.
The universe in all its magnificence is in peril. On course to explode. Melting. It is like a deadly train wreck waiting to occur. Unlike, that flash of seeing your life before you prior to an accident happening, we can see the death and destruction daily. But, what do we do?: We remain asleep while taking our faith for granted.
My faith has brought me tears. I should have given up on PEOPLE a long time ago. Then there would be no more crying!

Reader Response:
Obama raised 51 miliion dollars in July..................................and AMERICA is in a recession!
-PM
DM Responds to PM:
Considering that he gets the bulk of his money from donations from everyday citizens, even in the face of a recession is a good indication that people are fed up with the status quo.
-DM
Muata Responds to DM:
PM has brought Barack Obama into this discussion...so let's flow with it.
We have been here before: "fed up with the status quo". My question: When this "change" does occur, what are these everyday people going to do to maintain the change? History has proven that Americans will scream and shout for a change - but RARELY keep the status quo away from their individual lives. Basically, what most of us do is SCREAM and then do nothing to FIGHT OFF the common/every day/fall into line crap. We don't want lasting change. What we want is accommodation. Americans are lazy and afraid to ATTACK the system. It will be interesting to see if Barack Obama will be able to diss the status quo while in office. Most politicians cannot, and those who have tried in the past did not live a long life in politics. This is indication that the people have to FINALLY get fed-up. We are not, DM. If we were, we would not be in this republican generated recession. Ain't too many mo rebels/radicals who are willing to die. Nope, we are conformist! We includes me too. Gotta give it all up to be free! I am safe in saying that you, me, and the others on this email ain't ready to sacrifice on this level. If I am wrong tell me so!
-Muata
Reader AC Responds:
What kind of sacrifice are you talking about, Brian?
As broke as I am, for the first time in my life, I sent money to a politician: $25 to Obama after the speech he made following the Jeremiah Wright ordeal. That was a sacrifice for me. I'm prepared to make further sacrifices in the future (as I have throughout my life for the things I believe in), and, as Derrick pointed out, I don't think I'm the only one.
Have Faith,
AC
Muata Responds to AC:
AC-
I did not mean to imply that the smallest of sacrifices are unimportant. Your $25, my $30 and proceeds from the t-shirt I purchased are/were critical to Barack's success. However, what we identify/claim as a sacrifice is subjective/relative particularly when the sacrifice does not involve complete surrender of one's life. Mother Theresa and Gandhi are the epitome of sacrifice. They gave up their lives for humanity. Now, was it worth it? Some believe it was and others believe that they were crazy to give their all for a world full people who have destroyed the planet with their evil ways and ignorance.
Now, let me ask: How many Theresa's and Gandhi's do we have representing God at the present? AC, you know the answer: Not enough.
While I cheerfully acknowledge that thousands of people have given $10-$20 to Obama, I just don't see your sacrifice, DM's, or mine enough to really change the world. What I have done to give of myself has been comfortable e.g. Peace Corps, YMCA, Goodwill, after school programs, etc. are wonderful gestures that hopefully changed a life - but Farakhan, Malcolm, Martin, and a few others are the true renegades. Barack Obama is man who I believe thinks and believes like a Jeremiah Wright - but unfortunately he can't tell the truth because he trying to lead a doomed nation. Honestly, I would rather he be who he is (a radical is what he is - his story bleeds that) and forgo being a man who is having to placate to America and her circus. May God be with him. He gonna need more than a bulletproof vest.
Keep it real,
Muata
Reader EJ Responds:
Dude, everybody can't be the last leg on the relay team! Why are you comparing sending a $25 check to support a candidate to Gandhi and Mother Theresa? What are you talking about!? What you fail to understand/see is that all of the small donations that he receives represents "CHANGE"! Name one presidential candidate that has raised money the way he has? And when was the planet destroyed? I missed that.
-EJ
Muata Responds to EJ:
Use your brain power to understand analogy, EJ. Or, do you just have tunnel vision when it comes to Barack? Please read read so that you may understand my point. You so on the defense you did not even notice in my response that I am in Barack's corner.
Finally, I am done with chatter concerning Barack especially with those how refuse to remove/suspend themselves from their emotions and allegiance. Lord Have Mercy. Sound like a church-goer who says, 'Pastor this and Pastor that...'
By the way, I will continue to be a critic. I donated money and I plan to vote for him. And, I KNOW where he stands on all major issues. Therefore, I have entitled myself to be critical. I hope you are, EJ. If you are not, you are just as politically irresponsible as the guys I am looking at outside this window doing nothing but yelling, 'Barack this and Barack that...' They are so un-informed.
-Muata
Reader EJ Responds:
What you like to do be is "straddle the fence". Be a man make a decision and stand for something. You are quick to say "yes, I am going to vote for barack, But...... What that does is leave you room to say "I told you so" if he fails at his mission and if he succeeds then you will be the first to jump aboard and say "I voted for him". Every argument you bring up is about what he cant do or what people want do in the future. Talk about what's real for a change...and not all of that speculation.
-EJ
Muata Responds to EJ:
ej, please. your speculation is incorrect. he want fail. america will fail him. what's real is barack is a politician for me and a messiah for you and others. what's real is the untied states bed is made. the empire is falling. they all do, eventually. what's real to me is that most people do not give a damn about who sits in the white house. american idol gets more votes. sad, brotha. what's real is that the american people have proven to be flaky and irresponsible.what's real is barack obama is running to serve the people and the people will TURN THEIR BACKS ON HIM WHEN HE DOES NOT DELIVER FOR THEM. what's real to me is that people way around the world appreciates life in the face of death, poverty, and adversity moreso than the guy getting ready to get a haricut from you.
these people apreciate life while most americans sit around and debate over who should have won america's next top model. LOL. my rhetoric is bigger than barack. it is my hope i am stabbing someone with inspiration to see the american government for what it is: hypocritical and cowardly. if i am succesful they may just be another barack obama. well, another Angela Davis. she was a real trooper!

Muata Responds to EJ again:
ej, you asked how we have destroyed God's creation:
racism
hatred
sexism
littering
unprotected sex
ego
arrogance
religion
jealousy
senseless murder
war
greed
unnecessary ignorance
poor parenting
-shall i continue, mr. johnson?
i used "we" because MOST of us have been guilty of something related to the list above. when will you accept that we have created a mess, and now we expect it to be rectified by man (barack obama)?? if the story is true, why do you expect CHANGE to last if Jesus and/or God could not sustain it? we (people) are the problem. we need to PERSONALLY change, not the government. it will always be the same.
-Muata
Reader EJ Responds to Muata:
As we have the power to destroy anything "GOD" creates. He wanted whatever is happening to happen. It's all ready written right? LOL Who created hatred, racism, sexism........You probably will say man. Then I would say who created man? Shall I continue?
And to that other crap.....Government is made up of people. You speak as if it is some kind of machine like monster. Man can change policy....Policy is what government is about.
-EJ
your faith should also keep u steadfast
Torrance-
Faith is really the only definite that we have. Well, spiritually. It may be subjective and even relative for us - but belief extends past what is REAL for some. I just select to infuse my reality into the day-to-day. What other way should we cope/believe when dealing with ignorance and an uncaring society? And, if we all cared, would we be in this predicament?
-Muata
yo i blog rolled u
have a great weekend folk
Muata: will i ever read a blog where you actually compliment someone on a good point..EJ was right on when he said "Dude, everybody can't be the last leg on the relay team! Why are you comparing sending a $25 check to support a candidate to Gandhi and Mother Theresa?"
Muata Responds to CPO:
CPO-
I really do not expect you to do this - but you can go to several of my commentaries on this blogspot, and then you will notice that I freely give compliments for comments that make sense. Not that EJ's comments do not. EJ always seems to provide us with meaningful interjections. However, the statement you referenced does is not deserving of a compliment. If you disagree help me understand why it is such a profound statement.
