Tyshawn Lee, a Life played…a Life Lost…a Failure in the Alley

Before we commence with our monotony –our Smartphone lives- we must acknowledge that Tyshawn Lee was a living soul. He was a human being, not another one of the numerous murder victims that threatens the civility of Chicago. There is nothing civil about assassination.

Tyshawn was a little boy, innocent, probably a good student who loved to play. All kids want to play. Sadly, playing in a city that has been seized by gang violence is an act of Russian roulette.

Next, we have to apologize to Tyshawn Lee, to the children who have been retaliatory targets - and we may as well apologize to the other men, women and children who will be terminated by this year’s gun violence that is primarily playing out on the Southside of Chicago, the black urban center that functions as a War Zone. Without a doubt and with all certainty, there will be more young black persons discarded like an Old English forty ounce bottle by someone that shares Tyshawn’s dark pigmentation, a black person.

The obvious is among African Americans while the ignored is the obvious. Blacks killing blacks is not an orchestrated conspiracy controlled by white people used to hoodwink black people into believing that crime is unique to them. Black on black crime is a reality, it is not something that should be ignored because the obvious is appalling, we (black people) kill each other at an alarming rate. Tyshawn Lee was the latest sport-kill by America’s latest creation, The Black Ku Klux Klan

The Apology

Dear Tyshawn,

As the physical form of your existence is rolled into a packed church with mourners, I would like to extend my apology…an apology that long after you are gone will be a web-based (blog) testament of my ongoing disappointment - and an additional documentary of a sadness that I cannot shake. The image of your face is what I see in my sleep…in my fading hopes and in my elusive faith. It is this faith that is synonymous with Losing the Battle.

Failure is what we have to live with, Tyshawn…we failed you. Me. Your parents. Your community. Your neighborhood. Your school. Every single African American failed you. We failed when we have all the tangibles and intangibles to win.

Protecting you from a world that seems to be void of respect and honor for children is a battle that I am sick and tired of fighting. I am overwhelmed by the sullied Souls of Black Folks. You did not deserve our Failure.

I am sorry, Tyshawn.

As I sit here looking over the landscape of middle school students, I am bewildered, melancholy, depressed, defeated, and tearful of the thought of your last moments. The intense fear you must have felt. The shock you were faced with that led to your acceptance of your fate must have been horrifying. I can't imagine that terror.

Tyshawn, I am sorry.

I am sorry that no one with decency was in that dreadful space to protect you from the deprived emotionalism of humankind, your assassins.

I am sorry, Tyshawn.

I am sorry as the result of your death that I am coming closer to confirming that God has left the most vulnerable...YOU. Children. The unshakeable faith that I once had has dwindled. It is not a flickering light that once guided me. It is, no more…

My wandering mind wants to know what will become of your death besides an ersatz memorial in an alley…in a locale that insulates the decadences of an infiltrated community, a gang haven. An alley is where you met your Maker. Perhaps, there is a necessary symbolism that needs to be highlighted.

Tyshawn, an alley is a narrow open structure that has an entrance and an exit. Many of us enter life to serve a purpose. Life is the alley. It is an opportunity for us to get it right before we have to exit. Leave this earth. The hermeneutic transfer has not entered and it has not exited. Tyshawn, your people remain in an alley…we are Wanderers wondering what to do…we are the children of Israel, lost, beaten, defeated. Your people are not seeking to exit.

That there is the symbolism. We have become Alley People.

I am just sorry, Tyshawn.

Someone told me that I cannot continue to allow situations beyond my control to affect me. Your death has changed me – I need for you to give me an Exit Strategy so that I will not be positioned in this alley for a lengthy time in mourning. Mourning…is where I have been for a long time.

Help, Tyshawn…help me be Free

A Matter of LIFE

The Black Lives Matter Movement is another feigning fad generated by a distorted emotional response mostly from African Americans who either need a ‘cause’ or who fail to acknowledge the self-induced debaucheries that continue to haunt the black community. Furthermore, African Americans are not in a position of moral latitude to declare that Black Lives Matter. African Americans have proven time and time again that LIFE -the existence of an individual human being or animal- is of utmost importance only when the homo sapiens are with dark skin; primarily African American skin. Asian and Hispanic Americans are not covered by this unapologetic pronouncement, Black Lives Matter. Therefore, regulating this discriminatory effort to the memory of Sandra Bland, Forgotten.

Without any confusion, the African American community has not raised the banner of a Life Respected meaningfully, consistently, exclusively and/or reverently. A Life Respected is not a life taken by a stray bullet that was fired from the handgun of a black boy. A Life Respected is not a life that was cut short by a black man who kills another black man because the emotionally irresponsible black man lost his temper. A Life Respected is not a life poisoned by the black dope man’s heroin sales. A Life Respected is not the life incapacitated by a black man and woman’s rash decision to terminate a pregnancy. Abortion is another form of life liquidation embraced by black women disguised as Feminism.

Without any doubt, a Life Respected has not been a source of advocacy by the African American community in a long time. Black people with the precious label of US citizen are not in a moral locale to demand that a black life matters. More accurately, the African American community is in the position of a haunting ancestral condemnation. Ancestry acceptance has always been contingent on our ability to defy the power structure that harms us…to honor self and represent The Black Family with dignified behavior. We have not done that in the collective. No. We have not.

Behavior will not be approved by any governing or convening body when and if the behavior is a cancer within the body of the people that seeks recognition, respect, empathy and compassion.

The crimes we commit against each other ARE NOT black on black crimes. It is correctly defined as Love Lost. A love squandered by an unrelenting inability to self-restrain. A love frivolously applied to iniquities that are considered The New Normal. Consequently, black on black crime does not exist. Love for one another is fiercely vacated, rendering the African American community unworthy of acquiring compassion from those who do not look like them.

The majority population –like the African American population- does not care about the brutalized black female who is dehumanized by the black brute disguised as a Black Man. The majority population –like the African American population- does not care if a black teenager is beaten to death by one of his ‘boys’.

Thus, no one (none of the Movement mongers) gives a damn about the Totality of Humanity, Life. Why should a black life matter when the black rallying community does not convene to pay homage to our slain Latino brothers and sisters? Why should a black life matter when a black life taken by the hands of a black has proven to be by irrelevant?

She/he is just another Nigger dead. That’s the way it is.”

Is not this decision to prioritize value of life…add value to a life based on the urban zip code called

Hypocrisy?

Black Love Deconstruction

BLACK Love

I am trying to finish reading Salvation, Black People and Love by Bell Hooks.

It has been extremely difficult for me to finish because of the heartfelt substance that reminds me of Love’s absence within the African American community.

Bell’s words are touching...unexpectedly impacting my spirit. Out of nowhere, while reading on several occasions I have become surprisingly emotional. These moments have been quite revealing - and helpful in addressing what and who I see every single day: Myself.

That mirror reflection is my moment to address the damages caused by my former Self-Hatred. The damages that, in all sense of the word, are bad consequences for bad decisions. The decisions that were rooted in the hatred of myself.

But I am not alone…

I believe it to be completely impossible for any other group of people to fully comprehend how Love was stripped away from the black slaves that made their way to the New World as 'cattle property'. Not only, was the horrible ride in the gut of slave ships physically and mentally demoralizing, the brutality of human dignity stripping perpetrated on the black slaves by the slave masters is now a child rearing tactic incorporated and utilized by black immediate and extended family members. The brutality is a learned behavior that stems from living in a hell...Slavery.

Self-hatred concepts, as Hooks states, are masked. It is living in the form of 'cautious' parenting. The type of parenting that reminds black children of their "proper place". It is the parenting that presents itself  in the form of communicating to black children that they cannot speak out against racial injustice...that they must not question white authority...that in order to live in the White world the black child must live a life of   false self  , live a life of meekish pretense and the conscious denial of genuine feelings. Bell Hooks goes on to share the psychological term used to describe this atrocity as   Soul Murder.

How does the black person simply end the self-hatred when the oppression of black and brown people still exist? How does the black person remove self-hatred from their actions when it is hatred that’s killing them? (white cops shooting and killing black men)

Is not the killing of black men by the police a reminder that they (black men) are not worthy? How does the young black girl grow-up -while being raised to love herself - and extinguish the hatred that's alive and dormant in the souls of her black classmates, friends and family members?

TEARS flowing

The magnitude of the Willie Lynch plan deconstructed the mind, body and spirit of black people - and The Fire Next Time still rages on! Black people in various capacities remain participating zombie-like characters...we are The Walking Dead of the 21st century.

Not only is the destruction inflicted institutionally by the White Power Structure and by the overarching Christian Church Body, it is a commonly practiced generational occurrence within black families.

Bell Hooks mentions in her book the all too often black family strategy to   "break the spirit of the wilful, creative black child in order to prepare them for living in the world of racial apartheid."

TEARS flowing

As a child, I was told that I would "never be nothing" by a member of my mother's church family...he claimed his remark was intended to "motivate" me to "do something with my life". I was also told, "I hope and pray that you don't be nothing like your daddy. If you do you will go to prison." To this very day, May 15, 2015, at this mature age of 44 - my spirit has not healed.

My Spirit was Broken

Imagine the "Breaking of Spirits" multiplied by thousands.

Are you able to understand the immense terror this has caused on the Souls of Black Folk? How does one (black person) truly get completely pass this brand of terrorism of the mind and spirit? How?!

In the collective, it has been and will continue to be virtually impossible for black people to eradicate self-hatred from the DNA of black lives considering the toxicity is an ingrained black family child-rearing mechanism for MOST black families - and a present day weapon used by the Western and European World Order in public education, the workforce, entertainment and in almost every facet of life.

The State of the Union Playground

Thought about something today while driving home from school.

The State of the Union...will I watch?

Why should I spend a hour watching grown people behavior like kids? Think about this analogy. Kids on the playground typical congregate with other kids who accept them...value them for who they are. They align themselves with like-minded individuals. It is extremely rare that a kid hangs out with kids who detest him/her. Rare!

On one side of the playground there is the Left group. Let's call them the Democrats. On another side of the playground there is the Right group...and they ALWAYS believe that they are RIGHT. Let's refer to them as the Republicans. There is also a 'fringe' group of children (Tea Party) in the far FAR corner of the playground playing. Next to the swing set on the playground there are the bleeding heart liberals. The Peace Corps types. To their right there are the Christian conservatives. They are so full of that damn Jesus with their 'Right and Wrong Mantra'. Then there are the level-minded kids...these are the most decisive of all the groups. They are standing together by they soccer field. We will tag them as Independents.

There will be the popular kid (President Obama) trying his best to rally the kids on the playground (in the Capitol Chamber). The popular kid is in the middle of the playground speaking. He may crack a joke - and the other kids aligned with him will breakout in laughter (stand and applaud) while the kids who don't like the popular kid will not laugh (remain seated).

This is the United States of America. A big ass Playground with kids.

Hell no I ain't watching. I will have to experience this immaturity tomorrow during recess   ------     BUT I will be among those who are suppose to be childish!

Police, Black People and Fear

There has been a windfall of conversation, civil disobedience and unlawful protest in response to the police and their responses to behavior or actions that's perceived as aggressively non-compliant.
When a police officer gives a command the first response for many: Why? The ‘why’ is present even if the citizen is ‘in the wrong’. The ‘why’ is not only an inquisitorial response; it is the beginning of defiant behavior.

How many of us have been caught doing something that we should not have been doing, and with emphatic tenacity became impudent? How many of us have been ‘in the right’ – and became indignant because the accusation of wrongdoing was unjustified…had no basis or validity?

No matter the reasoning associated with the reaction, a police officer more than likely will respond with aggression – and in most situations the protect & serve hostility is the initial stages of defense…the belligerence from the policeman is a defense mechanism which is primarily issued verbally to incite fear and to protect his/her life – not disrespect. That instance of innocent fear baiting and premeditated control induction will eventually be owned by the citizen who may or may not be In the Wrong.

Simply put, the presence of The Police produces uneasiness and fear…especially for black people. And, NO, it is not because blacks are always Guilty of Something (as if black skin is innately connected to law breaking activity).

Unfortunately, the situation…the atmospheric energy in those fragile moments are add-ons to the bellicosity…the air has been polluted with citizenry indignation and authority figure haughtiness. The one in suspicion is rightfully irritated and the cop is rightly overzealous.

Again, the police officer’s intention is to shock the accused…to produce temporary paralysis in an effort to control the situation. He is seeking complete compliance - and he most likely does not care if you are in the right or wrong. He needs to control the confrontation. Questions of clarity are secondary which should be clear indication that the cop is simply trying to protect his life while experiencing the same fear that he has help conjure within the accused.

Isn’t it interesting that this training manual scare tactic does not produce the desired result?

When I was a preteen my friends and I would take off running at the sight of The Boys in Blue. We literally would run…RUN as if we were frightened…RUN as if the shoplifting of Snicker and Milky Way bars at Mobile Mart and Three R's had finally caught up with us...RUN as if the cops were again strolling through the projects with handcuffs in hand seeking to arrest the black juveniles.

On the surface we were not afraid. Going to jail was an multiple choice for us like spending our young adult lives working at a furniture factory was an option. College was never an option for me personal, I just so happen to be good at running and jumping...like most "niggers".

Subconsciously, we were terrified of the police but as I sit here in contemplation I have no idea why we were afraid. It was as if we -with youthful charisma- created the terror...the scary drama.

Regardless, the questions were abound...Why are the cops here? What did we do? Who called the cops? Did Shirley, the owner of Three R's, see us stealing the chocolate bars?

At the time..in those childlike moments we did not consciously identify the terror as a generational trait…as a characteristic of The Black Experience that has been cultivated by our past and present.

Men and women of African ancestry have been running from the slave hunter…the police for years. Not exclusively to when we were in trouble or when we did something unlawful. The black man has been on the run from capture every since he became property that needed containment. When he escaped he had to be on the lookout understanding that the hunter was always lurking…when he became free he had to be on the lookout understanding that freedom for him was/is temporary. Arrest has forever been a reality or near real circumstance for black people for the longest time. And, if we choose to believe that the fear of the Arresting Officer (the hunter) has been removed from our generational DNA we are among the foolishly misinformed!

Lastly, what is the origin of this complexity that has most recently resulted in the death of two unarmed overweight dark skin black men?

Racism?

The obvious has been irresponsibly projected…stated over and over again: the white cop is a racist…he does not regard black life like it matters.

Subconsequently, in the moment…in that moment of distress I find it extremely difficult for any human being let alone a police officer to conjure the following

prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. -Racism defined

It is mostly fear, people! The same fear that has plagued African slaves and Hunters for decades.

If the Prosecution has decided that there was Probable Cause, why was the case given to a grand jury? I will tell you why.

But first let's define:

Probable Cause

"Apparent facts discovered through logical inquiry that would lead a reasonably intelligent and prudent person to believe that an accused person has committed a crime, thereby warranting his or her prosecution, or that a Cause of Action has accrued, justifying a civil lawsuit."

Please focus on the word Cause...then think about the Action that was taken to terminate Michael Brown. Remember, the Action had a Cause. So, if there was a reasoning (Cause) for the Action taken, why didn't the Police, Detectives, Investigators, and Prosecution determine/conclude that there was a Probable Cause. I will tell you why.

When a controversial case is given to a grand jury it typically means that the Prosecution has 'politically' decided not to get involved. It is the Prosecution's way of passing the buck. It is the Prosecution's way also of securing a ruling that will be in favor of the Prosecution's friends, The Police.

When there is probable cause there is a possibility that the Prosecution will lose their case. That's the way it should be...a Possibility should be granted…given a Chance on both sides of the law.
But here is the Reality: when it is all said and done, it is about appearances, politics and winning & losing.

The justice system of the United States of America becomes flawed when the very essence of the system is not utilized, a Jury.

A jury should be deciding the fate of the man that gave birth to the Probable Cause.

Anything else -like this sham for a decision rendering body- The Grand Jury, is an unjustifiable tool that rarely favors the victim of the Action taken...especially a young black man who has lived-up to the depiction of an overweight bully.

Muata Nowe

*While we wait on the Grand Jury's decision NOT to indict the Shooter let us be at peace and later in peaceful protest. Looting, stealing, fighting, disrespecting the police is NOT the solution when in fact nothing has been done enough internally to heal the ills of the reasons Michael Brown had prior incidents with the law...Blacks have not done enough*

The Compliment

I received the BEST compliment this morning.

A woman who I see almost every morning asked an individual who knows me,

"Is he homeless?

The man I know informed me what she asked after she left the building. He said he told her,

"No. He is not homeless. Why you ask?"

The woman responded,

"Well, he is always around. I see him walking a lot or riding a bike. He also has a kid with him sometimes...pushing the younger one in a jogging stroller. I saw him walking with a boy too. I guess the boy is his son...the boy was riding a scooter. He always has on torn up jeans or ruined cargo shorts. And, he is always at the grocery store either reading or on the computer in the Starbucks section. You know, homeless people hangout in coffee shops. He stays well-groomed - but there are a lot homeless men who keep up their facial hair."

The man said he laughed and walked away.

Why is this my BEST compliment?

Because I want to live/have a simple life free of all the crap that identified me by some as "wealthy and highly educated". Yeah...I would prefer simplicity over wealth. I would like to be known as intelligent but humble with my intelligence. Besides, internet is free at Starbucks...it is comfortable...I get free sample cups of coffee...clothes are overrated (would rather be naked or only wear my favorite items)...walking/riding a bike is healthier...spending time with children is beneficial in so many ways...reading expands the mind and has the ability to temporarily 'free' man/woman from their predicaments.

I Shall Be Free One Day...

Looking for a book.

Who We Are...

We MUST begin to view ourselves as NOT an innocently special people...NOT as an unique or chosen people of a higher moral disposition. We must stop viewing ourselves as victims that behave badly because The White Power Structure poisoned us...I don't know not one white person that contributed to any of my poor decisions. We are the same people that behave as evil describes. Many of us (blacks) see ourselves as innocent learners of evil that was presented to us by The White Man. It is sickening, embarrassing and ancestral demeaning how many times I have heard, "The white man taught us this...he is the reason we act so bad. He is the reason we don't have a pot to piss in. He taught us how to kill each other. He gave us crack and malt liquor." This thinking is shallow and it KEEPS us from addressing who and what we are. We are Human Beings. Where is the accountability for what we have become? Face it: We are humans that have the same EVIL and satan-laced motivations as every man/woman on this earth.

Dear Malcolm

Dear Malcolm,

I write this letter to remind you of my allegiance to you...I share this moment with you to praise you for setting the example; for being a man when not many others would...I write this letter to pay homage to the legacy you left behind for us to revere - and sadly for some to distort. I share this moment with you to convey my respect, and to articulate my present thoughts/concerns.

In so many ways we need you, Malcolm. On the surface we appear to be doing quite well. Not sure if you have heard/been informed, the United States of America elected a black man to be president. Like you, I never thought this would be a reality. Not sure if you have heard/been informed, black men and women are CEO's of several major companies within the USA. Like you, I never thought this would be a reality.

We are doing quite well for ourselves bearing in mind we are considered by Jamie Fox to be "the most talented people in the world". Like you, I have always known that we were talented. Like you would have more than likely been- IRRITATED -when you hear/heard Mr. Fox's declaration over and over again while watching an African American ‘oriented’ television network. Yes, Malcolm we have a television station dedicated to our TV-watching pleasures and desires. There is even a news broadcast that focuses on our issues. Jamie Fox, the comedian, singer and actor made his pronouncement after receiving an award. An award that was given to him by the organization that you more than likely still consider to be a preposterous representation of the opposite of your thought process, Black Nationalism.

If I may, what are your thoughts on the comment, "black people are the most talented people in the world"? Like you, I have always believed, there is significance behind a man's words. Jamie's words have resounded with me over the past few weeks. Each and every time I hear the words, I conclude that Mr. Fox is referring to our talents that please the superficial senses of men/women. He is speaking of the African American's music, acting and athletic faculties. Not our intellectual dexterity/accolades. Like you are probably, I am offended by his words. What about our accomplishments in the areas of math and science. Why do we have to be the talented entertainers...the porch monkeys?

Perhaps, Jamie Fox was in the moment. Not really thinking about what we should be celebrating during Black History Month.

I am not certain - but I know one thing - you are wondering when we will heed to your words...when will we finally utilize our bents to build a nation within a nation like our Asian, Latino and African brothers and sisters?

Brother Malcolm, you are missed - and on this day of acknowledgement of your brutal assassination I come to you in remembrance...remembering what you believed:

The Black Man/Woman will never be respected until we prove to the world that we are more than entertainers...until we reclaim our remarkable heritage...until we stop killing each other like those black men killed you on this dreadful day, February 21, 1965.

Remembering you in word and photo,

25yrs ago I decided to attend HPC. It was High Point COLLEGE at the time. Now it is the highly acclaimed High Point University. 20yrs ago I graduated from HPU. My classmates and I were the FIRST to hold the University title. We attended college but came out university graduates. I am significantly proud of that accomplishment. When I entered I had no expectation to graduate...I was there to be a hurdler. If you know my story, you know that I lived up to that status. A hurdler. Over the years I have acquired several titles and statuses. But the one I cherish the most this weekend is Graduate. As my fellow classmates, other HPU graduates from different years and current students (my niece) celebrate their accomplishment I hope they understand that life is good...I hope they understand that life can be one way one day and completely different the next. I stand in that locale of 'different the next day'. While my education and training prepared me to not only be a productive citizen of the world I also have become a symbol of an American Nightmare. Again if you know my story, you know my current life positioning. I thank High Point University for helping me to become a man, a steward of humanity, a lover of internationalism, a reader & writer, a conservative value holder, a lover of classical and aged jazz music, a world class hurdler, a non-racist, a seeker of religious truth, a critical thinker and a father. So my, HPU Alumni, toast for me...pour out a little Mad Dog 20/20 on my behalf in my absence from celebrating those 20 years (absent as a result of the Nightmare)...most importantly do not take your education for granted. It was well worth the 4...in my case 5 years. Panther PRIDE. No regrets!!

Yes...He was Black

Okay...black people. He was black. Stop pretending like you are not aware that black people are capable of mass shootings...violent gunman rampages. If we kill each other at the rate that we do in Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and other so called urban hubs we are definitely capable of blasting up a navy yard...or is there a 'reason' that I am missing for blacks killing each other like we are in a war. Note how the black blogs/media sites are NOT all over this story. If anything, the black media/writers/commentators NEED to start another dialogue pertaining to Aaron Alexis's mental state.

Thursday, May 30, 2013

For years now I have been particularly concerned about the fast deterioration of moral fortitude which is one of the numerous reasons why I answered my Calling to preach; and later rebuked it.

The decay is ever-present within today’s generation of tech savvy Smartphone carrying men and women who lack the ability to speak properly, dress with a level of respect that honors their families, behave with dignity, count the correct change without a cash register, and tell time with an analog clock, not digital.

Generation after generation there has been a desired probability of Life getting better. After the Civil Rights Movement there was a huge expectation for a dawn of a new and better day, not only for African Americans but for all the people who found themselves under the heel of Western discrimination and domination. Better in the sense of humans choosing to make decisions that do not negate humanity’s purpose.

The Change has not come. Day after day…newscast after newscast we are relentlessly and indiscriminately polluted by the efforts of an irresponsible news media with atrocities that defines and legitimizes our unwillingness to live by traditions that exalt morality.

Just this past week an African maniac with a British accent boldly claimed Allah instructed him to take a life.

What makes a man use a vehicle as a weapon to run over another man? What makes God’s supreme creation stab, cut, and decapitate another human being? The excuse the devilishly misguided man prefaced in his Jihadist Old Testament scripture laced rant is terrorism e.g. Matthew 5:38-48.

I agree the actions of these two demented men caused and promote terror. But, why is terrorism the reason proclaimed for the evil-intent that wrongfully subsists in the hearts of God’s Creations? Why…?

Is this really an incident triggered by a need to impose lex talionis?

Some will give credence to mental illness…others will remind us that Man has always been violent and prone to malevolent behavior. If this is the case, why are we living? What is the purpose of getting up each day knowing that Man is a voided soul that uses popular justifications for his shortage of morals?

Ultimately, the sad reality is that someone will flippantly categorize decayed human acts and behavior as,
‘This is just the way it is, Muata.’

Really…? Is this what I have to look forward to as I get older? If so, I am prepared to die today – I and wholeheartedly primed to take my life…eliminate myself from this lawless arroyo. Even in our desperation to defeat…Purge our demons, humans once again will in-motion picture promote Man’s self-induced demise:

And, what about my children? How do I explain to them that God created Man and Woman, but allows Man and Woman to emotionally and physically choke the Life out of each other?

Should I tell them that Man has made his bed…deathbed? How should I expound on the insightful inquisitives of a child? When should I inform my children that it appears Living will be riddled with disappointment and horrible tragedy? How will I impart bravery (like displayed in the photograph below) in the Face of Death?

What should my response be to my child who will eventually look up at me and ask,

‘Daddy, why are humans so cruel to each other?’

My response will be short:

‘Man…Male has destroyed human creation. God has nothing to do with the misfortune that occurs in this world. Man is the reason for the ongoing self-destruction. You live a life that’s divinely expected, and then hope and pray the ‘reasons’ for wicked irrational behavior is not blamed on a tough childhood. And finally, please believe in the Power of Decision. Despite what others my say and believe, Decision is what you have before any negative action.’
